Human Body Impedance for Contact Current Measurement in Japan
نویسندگان
چکیده
The radio-frequency protection guidelines of Japan recommend the limits of contact current for contact hazard due to an ungrounded metallic object under an electromagnetic field in the frequency range from 10 kHz to 15 MHz. To arrange the standard measurement methods of contact current in Japan, the contact body impedance for the Japanese in the frequency range from 75 kHz to 15 MHz is obtained, and the simplified equivalent circuit is determined using nonlinear least squares method. In addition, the human body impedance is obtained from numerical simulation using the impedance method and voxel human model, and compared with measured one.

Phase Angle Measurement in Healthy Human Subjects through Bio-Impedance Analysis
Objective(s)Bioelectrical impedance is the measure of impedance of the body. Impedance consists of electric resistance and reactance. Phase angle (PA) is the tan value of the ratio of reactance versus electric resistance. PA depends on cell membrane integrity and on body cell mass. There exists a correlation between PA values and body cell mass. The objective of this study was to compare the PA ...

Objective: Nowadays the value of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) in the estimation of body adiposity both on a clinical basis in the individual and epidemiologically in large populations is of great interest. The current study determine accuracy of BIA compared with body mass index (BMI) measurement for estimating body composition in a group of normal weight employee women with a sedenta...
متن کاملRelative Measurement of Differential Electrode Impedance for Contact Monitoring in a Biopotential Amplifier 601 Relative Measurement of Differential Electrode Impedance for Contact Monitoring in a Biopotential Amplifier
In this paper, we propose a simple and relative electrode contact monitoring method. By exploiting the power line interference, which is regarded as one of the worst noise sources for bio-potential measurement, the relative difference in electrode impedance can be measured without a current or voltage source. Substantial benefits, including no extra circuit components, no degradation of the bod...
متن کاملThe Frequency Spectral Properties of Electrode-Skin Contact Impedance on Human Head and Its Frequency-Dependent Effects on Frequency-Difference EIT in Stroke Detection from 10Hz to 1MHz
Frequency-difference electrical impedance tomography (fdEIT) reconstructs frequency-dependent changes of a complex impedance distribution. It has a potential application in acute stroke detection because there are significant differences in impedance spectra between stroke lesions and normal brain tissues. However, fdEIT suffers from the influences of electrode-skin contact impedance since cont...
متن کاملCurrent state of bone scintigraphy protocols and practice in Japan
Objective(s): Nuclear medicine technologists in Japan often perform additional single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) with or without computed tomography (CT) after whole-body imaging for bone scintigraphy. In this study, we wanted to identify the bone scanning protocols used in Japan, together with the current clinical practices. Methods:...
